Curious why being close (as a team?) hurt them. Any thoughts? Loved his play and he has a great future ahead!

That comment is not a reference to being "close" as a team. It's a reference to being "very, very close" to the playoffs (which he mentions in the previous couple sentences). That both hurt them and was a learning experience.

It's horrible that he wasn't even 2nd team All-Rookie. He had a great year, even before the bubble.
